It is alleged that the booking clerk had asked the women to stand in line with the men. Angered by this, the passengers had complained to the higher authorities against the booking clerk. Its video was also circulated on the internet media.

There is opposition to giving first tickets to women

Due to lack of separate arrangements, many times women have to stand in queues along with men. Whereas sometimes some passengers also start protesting against giving first tickets to women. A similar case was seen at the reservation center a week ago. Two women arrived together for tickets. To avoid giving tickets to other passengers, the booking clerk asked the women to stand in line. The passengers got angry about this and started shouting ‘Tu Tu Main Me Main’.

There is a provision to give tickets to women first

Station Superintendent BB Mishra says that at big stations there is separate booking for women but where single window is being operated. There is a provision to give first tickets to women on priority basis without standing in line. The concerned employees have been clearly instructed in this regard.
