CSE Department, Jain University and SPUQC, Philippines Held One-Week FDP on Quantum-AI

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Bengaluru, in association with St. Paul University Quezon City (SPUQC), Philippines, successfully organized a one-week online international FDP on “Quantum–AI Convergence for Next-Gen Computing” from March 23 to 27, 2026. The FDP received an overwhelming response with a total of 303 registrations, including 283 participants from India and 20 participants from the Philippines, representing 52 colleges and universities.

The first three days of the FDP were delivered by Mr. Sundeep P V, Senior Director – Enterprise Architecture, Florida, USA, who provided deep insights into emerging trends in Quantum-AI integration. The fourth-day session was handled by Dr. Ashutosh Bhatia, from  BITS Pilani, who focused on Quantum Circuits and Algorithms. The final session on Quantum Searching Algorithms, was delivered by Dr. Kamlesh Tiwari, Professor and Head of CSE, Jain University, who also serves as a Program Chair of FDP.

The FDP was conceived and organized by Dr. J. Somasekar, Professor and Program Head of CSE (AIDD), who served as the Convenor of the FDP. Dr. Prakash S and Mr. Vaibhav R from the CSE (AIDD) program were part of the organizing committee for the FDP and provided valuable support in organizing the event.

The committee extended its sincere thanks to the Deputy Directors, Program Heads, and faculty members for their support in organizing this event.

The management of JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) graciously extended their wholehearted support and encouragement in the successful execution of this international FDP.

On the concluding day, Dr. Madelyn Menor, College Dean, SPUQC, Philippines, addressed the participants and expressed her appreciation for the successful conduct of the FDP. Dr. Marites Fontanilla, Program Chairperson – IT, and Ms. Cecille Claron, Director for Quality Assurance and Internationalization, were also present during the session.

The organizing committee expresses its heartfelt gratitude to SPUQC, Philippines, for their valuable support and collaboration in the successful organization of this event.

The FDP provided a valuable platform for academicians, researchers, and professionals to explore the convergence of Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence for next-generation technologies.
