This was witnessed in Charkop village, Kandivali (West), where Sonu Joshi (Sonu Joshi Di Shree Mahalaxmi Catering & Events) has taken a definitive step to end the long-standing road and drainage issues faced by the residents of Shree Dingeshwar Ekvira Welfare Society. The road development work was officially commenced on the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padwa.
A Promise Kept!
A few months ago, on the occasion of Dasara, Sonu Joshi had distributed kits in this chawl. At that time, she witnessed the dilapidated condition of the roads and the hardship caused by drainage water flowing right in front of the houses. Moved by their plight, she promised the residents that she would soon begin the transformation of their locality. Today, on the occasion of Padwa, she has fulfilled that promise by starting the actual work.

Work Commences with Great Enthusiasm
At the beginning of the Hindu New Year, the ‘Bhumi Pujan’ (groundbreaking ceremony) was performed in the presence of the chawl residents, and the road work was officially started. This has brought a wave of joy among the locals, providing them great relief as the work is expected to be completed before the monsoon.
Sonu Joshi’s ‘Resolution of Service’ is being appreciated by everyone. By starting the work immediately instead of making empty promises, she has upheld the spirit of selfless social service.
